At SIWCANS Care Foundation (SCF), we believe that true development begins with equality. Every child, woman, and young person — regardless of gender — deserves the chance to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Yet, in many parts of the Volta Region, gender inequality remains a barrier. Many girls are denied access to education, women are limited by societal norms, and opportunities for inclusion are still scarce. SCF is determined to change this narrative by promoting gender balance, equal access to education, and empowerment for all.

What We Do

Through our gender equality initiatives, we aim to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and discrimination that has hindered progress for too long.

Equal Education Access

We partner with schools and communities to support girls’ enrollment and retention in school. SCF provides educational materials, mentorship, and advocacy programs that encourage parents to prioritize education for all their children.

Awareness Campaigns

Through workshops, school visits, and community outreach, we educate both men and women about the importance of gender equality — fostering understanding and changing mindsets for a fairer society.

Women Empowerment Programs

Beyond the classroom, SCF empowers women and young girls with skills training, leadership development, and financial literacy programs that prepare them for independence and success in various fields.

Policy Advocacy & Community Engagement

We collaborate with government bodies, NGOs, and traditional leaders to advocate for gender-sensitive policies that promote equal opportunities and protect the rights of women and girls.
